For 20 years it might have been hard to name a better threesome, but now the Powerpuff Girls are going to be a quartet. Joining Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup will be a fourth Powerpuff Girl, set to be voiced by South African Toya Delazy. Sugar, spice, everything nice, and Chemical X – these are the ingredients needed to make the perfect little girl…or so Professor Utonium led us to believe.
The new Powerpuff Girl hasn’t been seen or named – yet – but you’ll get to meet her on Facebook Live on Monday (Sept 18) at 5pm as part of a global reveal. Cartoon Network Asia will reveal her live on its Facebook page (Facebook.com/Asia.CartoonNetwork ), in an interactive experience that will give fans the opportunity to learn more about what makes her awesome.
Following that, a five-part special will premiere over one weekend, and “will transform all that we know about the origin story of The Powerpuff Girls”. The first three episodes of the 5-part special will premiere on Saturday, 23 September and the final two episodes on Sunday, 24 September during that time slot.
