Before the episode ends, you know they’ll have the final say on whether these ludicrous claims are confirmed, plausible or simply busted.

This new season will feature a whole host of guest stars, including Iron Chef America creator, celebrity chef and culinary chemist Alton Brown in “Food Fables”, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan and star Aaron Paul in the “Breaking Bad Special” and captains Johnathan Hillstrand and Scott “Jr.” Campbell on the “Deadliest Catch Special”.

Also, thanks to the lovely people from Discovery, we now have a total of 10 sets of Mythbusters-related goodies to give away to you, our loyal readers!

Read on for more information on the new season of Mythbusters and find out how you can win an exclusive Discovery goodie bag!

Mythbusters Season 9 began on May 17 and already 5 episodes have aired on Discovery Channel (Starhub Channel 422). New episodes screen every Friday, 9pm, with encore telecasts scheduled every Saturday at 8am, Sunday at 6pm and the following Monday at 2pm.

Tomorrow’s episode features a favourite Asian pastime, FOOD! Originally aired in the US on November 18, 2012 just before their Thanksgiving holiday there, the “Food Fables” episode sought to put certain urban legends from the holiday to the test. In true Mythbusters style, Adam and Jamie try to see if you can cook a whole Thanksgiving dinner while driving to the dinner location! That’s right, is the heat from a moving vehicle sufficient to ensure an edible meal by the time you reach your destination? How they go about proving it is  a feat in itself. Of course, neither Adam or Jamie know food very well, so be ready to be dazzled by the culinary genius of chef Alton Brown, who takes food science to a whole new level.

In the meantime, the Build Team, made up of Kari Byron, Grant Imahara and Tory Belleci set out to find out, in true Singaporean style, if some exotic meats really do taste like chicken! From squab to frog, alligator to ostrich, the boys put their taste buds (and their gag reflex!) to the test as not one, but TWO  blind taste tests attempt to prove beyond a doubt whether “tastes like chicken” is a phrase that’s more fable than fact.

Also coming up this season, the long awaited Breaking Bad Special – which hasn’t aired in the States yet! Watch as the Mythbusters recreate the science of the show’s award-winning first season, which saw an acid bath eat through the floor of a bathroom (in episode 2), and escape drug dealers using the explosive mercury fulminate (in episode 6). Is there truth to the science, or is it just another victim of Hollywood physics? Find out!
