Be a Mooncake Master with this locally-designed boardgame
The Mid-Autumn Festival is upon us, which means tonnes of yummy, fatty, yolky, mooncakes. But if you’re trying to fight off those dreaded calories, what better way to get into the mood than to play a mooncake-themed board game? So here comes locally-designed and produced board game Mooncake Master, launching this weekend at Naiise Iconic at Jewel.

- What: Launch of Mooncake Master
- Where: Naiise Iconic at Jewel Changi Airport
- When: 7 to 8 Sep 2019
- Why: Because it’s mooncake time!
Designed by Singaporean game designer Daryl Chow and lovingly illustrated by Singaporean graphic designer launshae, Mooncake Master is a tile-crafting, interactive strategy board game.
Published by Singapore-based Origame, the game will have you and fellow mooncake makers creating the most beautiful mooncakes to cater to fussy customers. You’ll get to pick, share and arrange mooncake quarters, and finally win the title of Mooncake Master.

For 1-6 players (yes, you can make it solo, just like how I enjoy my mooncakes), the game comes in a luxurious linen-textured finish with spot UV coating to ensure durability and quality. A gold foil stamp on the box cover will mark this as a premium gift for the mooncake season.
And if you understand Chinese, here’s a how-to-play video.
So if you’re not busy stuffing yourself with some snowskin delights, why not head down to Naiise Iconic this weekend to check out Mooncake Master?
