Mashi’s art show starts today!

If you haven’t realised, we’re huge fans of Wendy Chew – better known as Mashi – some of our old posts would be testament to that – and we’re glad to share the news that Mashi will be holding her own mini-exhibition, called Honnie’s Hive, today at Flabslab! Check out the details below:

Mashi’s well known for her chibi-esque pin-up figures which feature fresh takes on popular comic superheroes and Disney characters. Still, Honnie’s Hive will focus on Machi’s own creation Honnie. And that’s not all – the event will also be the launch of Mashi’s first ever toy figure, Honnie, which was previously shown at STGCC 2012. Honnie was produced by Gaby Dela Merced of Vinyl On Vinyl, and you can take a look at the finished product below. (If you’re still keen on getting one but can’t make it to the show, do email commissionmashi@yahoo.com.) It’s a limited run, so act quick!

Honnie’s Hive will also feature limited edition prints of Honnie. The grand opening of the exhibition is today, Dec 14, from 730pm, and will last till late, and the exhibition itself will last for 2 weeks till Dec 28 from 10am to 7pm each day. It’ll be held at FLABSLAB 1, Commonwealth Lane #06-11 One Commonwealth, which is near Commonwealth MRT station, and here’s a nice Google Maps thingy to help you:
