No Comic-Con? Singapore and Malaysia team-up for Virtual Fan Festival on 13, 14 June

The COVID-19 pandemic might have forced the cancellation of quite a few conventions – including the legendary San Diego Comic Convention – but fans from Singapore and Malaysia have banded together to create the first-ever “Singapore Comics Community (SCC) and the MY Comics Community (MYCC) Virtual Fan Festival” on 13 and 14 June.

That’s a bit of a mouthful! Also known as the SMVFF (pronounced “smurf”), the online comic convention brings together big names from around the world to interact with fans via livestream, starting with Adam Hughes and Allison Sohn at 10am on 13 June.

You can catch it online on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoK-9SgS79mkgDExsL8w_Jg and on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/myccplay.

Guests include, in no particular order:

Adam Hughes, Allison Sohn, Rachta Lin, Artgerm, Derrick Chew, Ario Anindito, Jacob Phillips, Lefty Julian, Faezal Tan, Alan Quah, John Layman, Arthur Adams, Joyce Chin, James Leong, Kelvin Chan, John McCrea, Michael Chuah, Kulit Baru, Kael Ngu, Nick Brokenshire, Sami Basri, Dan Mora and with Wonderific Comics featuring Rachel Kong and Tricia Wee!

Definitely an amazing list of guests that wouldn’t feel out of place from any other regional convention. Check out the list of guests, and the panel timings below:
