Marvel Tsum Tsum finally hits Singapore with Doctor Strange in tow

FINALLY. After a wait of almost eight months, Marvel Tsum Tsum is seeing global release – including Singapore. First released in Japan earlier this year, Marvel Tsum Tsum adds a Marvel flavour to Disney Tsum Tsum’s connect-and-erase gameplay. Not sure how it works? Here you go:
If you’ve been waiting for it to hit the local app stores, you can get it on the Apple App Store here, and on Google Play here as a free download. Gamers from the UK, France, Italy, Germany, Latin America, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia will now join gamers from Japan and the US on the game.
This comes the same day as the opening of Marvel’s latest movie, Doctor Strange (our review here), and this means that the Sorcerer Supreme and the Ancient One are the latest playable characters in the game. They join other heroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Ant-Man, Star-Lord, Gamora, Rocket Raccoon and Spider-Man. The game has been ongoing for a while in Japan, so there’s already quite a bit of in-game stuff to uncover.
There’s also a new Multiplayer Battle mode, that allows players to team up and defeat Super Villains for greater rewards. Players can team up with a friend and play 2-player co-op, in addition to many levels of single player gameplay.
It’s still a pity this took a long after the Japan release to hit the rest of the world (it was released in the US late August) – the comic was released in August, and the Tsum Tsum gameplay has always been popular. (Those heroes are just super cute too). Still, I’ve given it a go, and it’s pretty fun – and with a twist on the usual Tsum Tsum gameplay with the stages. It might be tricky to match the popularity of Disney Tsum Tsum, but with consistent updates, maybe the delay won’t be such a big deal.
