Absolute Comics reopens with launch party

Comic readers and collectors in Singapore have had one less comic store to browse in for the last few weeks as Absolute Comics was closed for almost two months. Good news is, Absolute Comics has finally revealed the official opening date of their new store, which will no longer be next to Kinokuniya in Bugis Junction, but be at a new location in Plaza Singapura. To celebrate the opening, Absolute Comics will be holding a grand opening celebration this Sunday (Sept 8) at noon, where prizes will be up for grabs. Want to know more? Read on!

We’ve had people asking us where Absolute Comics went to as the store was shuttered for a while, and so here’s the good news: It is finally re-opening at its new digs in Plaza Singapura. To celebrate, there’ll be a contest where you can have your photo taken at the storefront and then see how many people like your photo. Here are the details:

Date: Sept 8, 2013. Sunday
Time: Noon
Location: Plaza Singapura, #B1-17, between Cotton On Body and Chapter 2 (opposite side from Burger King and Gong Cha).
Contest: Take a photo with your purchase at the shopfront, and the photo with the most likes by Sept 30 wins. If you’re dressed in a costume: Double likes!
Prizes:

• Grand prize is a Green Lantern 1:1 replica light-up lamp worth S$380.
• Second prize is a Tim Burton PVC figures set of 4 worth S$159.60
• Third prize us Marvel Infinity issue #1 (1 in 50 variant) worth S$79.90.
