Huawei officially launches its laptops and flagship tablet in Singapore

Hauwei’s Matebook 13 and Matebook D15, as well as the flagship Huawei MatePad Pro tablet, are finally launching in Singapore on 8 June 2020, the tech company has announced. Pre-orders start on 30 May.

The Huawei MateBook 13, Huawei MateBook D15 and Huawei MatePad will retail at S$1,598, S$998 and S$898 respectively at all Huawei Concept stores, selected consumer electronic stores (see below) and official online stores with Lazada and Shopee.

And those who buy the new laptops will receive an additional 1 year warranty on top of the usual 1 year, while stocks last.

Both the MateBook 13 and D15 come with Huawei’s new Shark Fin Design 2.0 s-shaped fan blade, which optimises air-flow dynamically for better laptop cooling and performance.

And if you already use Huawei phones or other Huawei devices, all 3 products will enable you to use the company’s Multi-screen Collaboration feature for a seamless multi-device experience, where you can just drag-and-drop files between devices. You will also be able to play music on your phone, answer calls or respond to text messages via the laptop or tablet.

The MateBook 13

The Huawei MateBook 13 is a 13-inch laptop that is powered by a 10th Generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. It comes with the Huawei Fullview design, where you get a screen-to-body ration of 88%. The 3:2 ratio 2K resolution display has side bezels measuring only 4.4mm, and you’ll get the NVIDIA GeForce MX250 for your graphics needs.

And if you need to get hands-on with your screen, you can opt for the Multi-touch option, which also comes with Finger Gesture Screenshot. You can choose either Mystic Silver or Space Grey for your colours.

The MateBook 13 also comes with the Fingerprint Power Button that integrates power, fingerprint verification and system sign-in, all in the same button. Battery life is estimated at 8 hours of continuous Internet browsing, and the laptop weighs just 1.3kg.

If you pre-order this model, you’ll get a gift bundle worth S$672: A Huawei Wireless Bluetooth Mouse, a Huawei Laptop Sleeve Bag, a 1TB Huawei Back-up device, and the Huawei FreeBuds 3.

The MateBook D15

The MateBook D15 is a 15.6″ laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 or 7 processor, and comes in Mystic Silver or Space Grey. Aimed at younger consumers, it weighs about 1.62kg, and comes with a HD screen.

If you pre-order this model, you’ll get the Huawei Wireless Bluetooth Mouse, a Huawei Laptop Sleeve Bag, and the Huawei FreeBuds 3, all worth S$374 together.

The Huawei MatePad Pro

Huawei’s flagship tablet features bezels of just 4.9mm, with a screen-to-body ratio touted at 90%. You’ll also be getting a 2K QHD screen as well as the quad-channel quad-speaker, all within a lightweight magnesium-alloy frame.

Under that is the Kiri 990 chipset, as well as a 7250mAh battery. The tablet even supports both wireless and reverse wireless charging, so you can use it to keep your phone powered too.

The pre-order bonus for the MatePad Pro includes the Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard, the Huawei M-Pencil, 1 year 50GB Huawei Mobile Cloud Storage, WPS Office Premium and 3-month Huawei Video subscription, all worth S$450 in total.
