Get an Edge up with this new Playstation 5 controller

The new Dualsense Edge is fully customizable and will be available in Asia from January 26, 2023

Sony is finally catching up with Microsoft in providing the more motivated gamers with a fully customizable gaming pad to up their competitive (not forgetting solo or coop – whichever you prefer) game. The new Dualsense Edge wireless controller for the Playstation 5 is definitely built with high performance and personalization in mind.

Just need that extra Edge to beat the competition? This might just be it.

Features

The DualSense Edge features a host of hardware and software-based personalization options, including button remapping, the ability to fine-tune stick sensitivity and triggers, options to swap between multiple control profiles, and a unique on-controller user interface. It also sports the signature comfort and immersive features of the original DualSense, like haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

You can make the DualSense Edge uniquely yours with the included three changeable sets of stick caps to fit your thumbstyle and two changeable sets of back buttons. Everything will come bundled in the included carrying case, and you can even charge the controller via USB connection while it’s stored in the case to make sure you’re always ready for your next play session.

Price

The DualSense Edge wireless controller will be available for a recommended retail price (RRP) of SGD295.90 / MYR999 / IDR3,599,000 / THB7,790 / PHP12,490 / VND 5,699,000. In addition, the replaceable stick modules will be available globally on January 26 for a recommended retail price (RRP) of SGD28.90 / MYR99 / IDR369,000 / THB779 / PHP1,190 / VND 559,000.

Thoughts

It’s still a big question if getting a controller for 2.5x the price of a regular one will improve your gaming experience by the same amount but we’ll be excited to see the player reviews once it’s released in January 2023. The initial launch seems to be only in the standard PS5 color scheme but here’s hoping they announce more colorways to come.
