Board game Overbooked launches Kickstarter in Singapore on Oct 18

If you still remember the United Airways overbooking incident, or if you’re a frequent flyer, you might wonder how airlines sometimes fit people into planes. Wonder no longer – in the board game Overbooked, you get to play as one of the airlines and book your plane to the best of your ability.

Overbooked was recently seen at GameStart 2017.

Designed by Singaporean developer Daryl Chow, Overbooked is launching its KickStarter today (Oct 18) with a party in Singapore, where you can check out the game and party for free.

Where: Millenia Walk, Level 2 @ Kickstarter Area, (Singapore, 9 Raffles Boulevard)
When: Wed, 18 Oct 2017 (Deepavali), 11am to 6pm

Schedule:

11.00am – 12.00pm Press Conference
Meet the entire crew that produced Overbooked (board game designer, game illustrator, video cast, director and publisher)

12.00pm – 1.00pm Light Lunch is Provided
Get to mingle and network with the entire crew from Overbooked! Take some photos and grab autographs while you’re at it!

1.00pm – 3.00pm Overbooked Game Demo
Play Overbooked before everyone else does! Game hosts will guide you through the seat-shifting interactive strategy puzzle game of the airline business so you can be the best prestigious airline.

3.00pm – 6.00pm Overbooked Tournament (Attractive Prizes to be won!)
Three 1-hour tournaments will be conducted and the winner will be the player with the highest points at each hourly tournament – top winners to be awarded at 4.00pm, 5.00pm and 6.00pm respectively.

Three tournament winners in total will each take home:
• A brand new board game (not Overbooked)
• S$35.00 WeThePeople (Kickstarter) Vouchers (which you can use to buy Overbooked when it goes on sale at WTP)
• and more!

Additionally, lucky draws will be conducted every half hourly from 12.00pm – 6.00pm, so stay longer for a better chance to win!
