STGCC 2018 focuses on the fans with the Fan-Tastic Zone

With the Singapore Toy, Gaming and Comic Convention 2018 (STGCC 2018) happening this weekend (September 7 to 8), superfans in Singapore are set to play a bigger role with the all-new Fan-Tastic Zone. Wholly run by fans, the zone that will be on the right side of the hall (next to food alley) will feature workshops, cosplay collections and displays of unique merchandise.

For starters, the wonderful guys from the Singapore Comics Community will hold Scavenger Events, and you can also trade or source rare sketchcards at their Sketchcards Meet & Trade. Artists will also be around to host sketchcard workshops. An extensive collection of vintage comics will also be on display, just like last year – and these guys really have some really rare stuff on show.

Our friends from FightSaber Singapore will also hold a Lightsaber building workshop for both children and the young at heart. Star Wars fans can also check out the Mandalorian Mercenaries Costume Club, who will be making their debut at STGCC. Other cosplayer groups include characters from TokuCos Singapore , Tokusatsu Cosplayers , Power Rangers , Super Sentai and Kamen Rider.

STGCC mainstays Band of Doodlers will be back with their Doodle Wall, while there is also a 3M Post-It Mural Wall. Members of the public can contribute to both walls, and the latter wall is where you can paste Post-Its with your own sketches or writings.

The Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention takes place 8-9 September at Marina Bay Sands Expo.
