Star Wars Day 2021 strikes back on May Day weekend

We’re in the midst of a pandemic, we still get to experience cool stuff – in this case, Star Wars Day 2021! The annual May the Fourth fan fest in back in Singapore, this time taking place on May 1 and 2 at the ArtScience Musuem. The museum is also currently housing the Star Wars: Identities exhibition, which makes it perfect for Star Wars Day.

Star Wars Day 2021 will include film screenings, photo ops with Star Wars characters, art and photography demonstrations, and toy displays. Featured films include George Lucas’s THX1138, and the Akira Kurosawa’s influential The Hidden Fortress.

Ticketed, but free!

You can check out a full guide to the events at the official Facebook event page. Due to crowd-size constraints, Star Wars Day 2021 will be ticketed (but free). Tickets are available on 26 April from 10am at SISTIC. Do note you need to create a SISTIC account to book the tickets. Each programme will have their own crowd-sized limits, so do book the events you want to go for before tickets sell out. FYI: The Star Wars: Identities exhibition is also a separately ticketed (and paid) event.

Can’t make it to the event? Two special online Collector’s Tours will launch on April 29 and May 4 that will bring into the toy collections of two serious fans: Derek Ho and Phelan Kuek.

It also looks like our friends from FightSaber Singapore will be there to defend (or attack?) the space. Bothan spies have also told us the 501st will be there.

Star Wars Day 2021 will take place at the ArtScience Museum on May 1 and 2. Tickets will be available on SISTIC from Apr 26, 10am.
