Fans of Marvel artist Humberto Ramos, rejoice! During the STGCC Media Preview yesterday, I checked in with his agent, the PR Rockstar Joe Damon, and he promised me that there would be not one, not two but THREE exclusive never-before-seen prints that the Marvel Comics artist is bringing with him. This is Ramos’ first trip to the region and he wants it to be extra-special for his fans here.

(DISCLAIMER: All images used for this article are for reference purposes only and do not represent the images that will be on the prints.)

Read below the cut for more details!

Be prepared to get prints of

  • Spider-Man VERSUS Venom
  • Spider-Man VERSUS the Sinister Six, and
  • a special Spider-Man that was intended as a variant cover.

These prints have never been sold before and were brought here exclusively for STGCC 2014! There will also be TWELVE other prints to choose from, so there’s something for everyone! If you’re not into prints, they’ve also brought three boxes of Ramos’ sketchbook – a convention staple, so you can be sure you’ll bring back a bit of this Mexican superstar this weekend!

For fans who collect sketches, there will be a daily list for commissions which Ramos will do during the con itself! I wouldn’t have believed it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes, but I can attest to the quality and speed of this 22-year comic industry veteran! Be sure to take this fantastic opportunity to get one of the industry’s best and most consistent artists to grace your sketchbook. Do take note that you can only request a same-day commission – this is to give those who can’t make it on Saturday the opportunity to still get a sketch.

Now, it may sound like Humberto Ramos has a lot to offer, but take note that quantities are limited, so be sure not to miss out. Technically, Ramos doesn’t have a booth of his own – so I suspect most of these sales will be done during his Walk of Fame slots on Saturday, 12pm to 1pm, and on Sunday, 5pm to 6pm. We’ll update this post as and when we get more information!

Also, though it really need not be said, Humberto, his wife and his agent are all in Singapore (and the region!) for the first time! Let’s continue to keep up the wonderful spirit of hospitality we’ve shown to previous STGCC guests in past years.

Please be reminded that his Walk of Fame is a paid signing session.Be the first FIFTY people in the queue to get your items signed for free! Item signings are limited to a maximum of TWO pieces. A higher signing fee will be requested for copies of The Amazing Spider-Man #1.

Peter Lin

His teenage years spent nursing a giant man-crush on Steve Rogers, the first Captain America, Peter naturally found himself drawn to many other heroes who depicted strong, manly qualities, including the honour-bound warrior Worf, first Klingon in Starfleet, and the muscular rock hard abs of The Thing.
