Cyberpunk Week

I can’t explain why, but I’m suddenly on a cyberpunk kick. It has always been one of my favourite genres, ever since Snow Crash and when Angelina Jolie has small boobs (I know, impossible but true). The thought of bleeding edge technology alongside squalor, a heady mix of class and social disparity, all thrown together with electon-pulsing visuals and thumping bass; some part of me exploded on my first experience with cyberpunk, and never has been the same way again since.

I was supposed to show off a continuation of my Colossal, but in a bizarre stroke of irony, my computer crashed. Burnt out. It seems that just when I’m about to wax lyrical about how interconnected our lives are with technology, I am let down by it. Some may take it as a sign to unplug before our robotic overlords do us all in, but I’m just taking it as an excuse to jabber about something I didn’t really plan to talk about at all.

So stay tuned for Cyberpunk week!
