It was earlier rumoured, and now it’s been confirmed by various local media: Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Fan Bingbing – aka Wolverine, Bolivar Trask and Blink from X-Men: Days Of Future Past – will be headed to Singapore for the Southeast Asian premiere of X-Men: DOFP at Shaw Theatres Lido.

Whatever your allegiences are, this is pretty big news for Singapore and the region, marking the second movie event in Singapore, after Earth Hour back in March. Their arrival will be part of a worldwide publicity blitz for the upcoming mutant movie, of which there’s an official hashtag: #xmenlive.

This also means it’s a pity that Fox finally decided to get the video below out to tease us yesterday. It’s a pretty fun video with James McAvoy (Professor X), Michael Fassbender (Magneto) and Hugh Jackman, and teases a whole lot of names that could have made their way down here. Now that we KNOW who’s coming, the hopes of Ellen Page, Nicholas Hoult and JLaw fans around the region have been dashed. What we do know is that McAvoy is probably headed to Europe, Fassbender is headed to Brazil, while Jackman will be headed to Australasia, because, well, he does come from Down Under.

Joining the trio on the worldwide tour apart from the aforementioned will be Ian McKellen (Magneto), Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Omar Sy (Bishop) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast), but I personally have no clue who will be where – unless they’re listed in order of location. So: Fassy, Gandalf, Jlaw and Picard; McAvoy, Sy, Hoult and Page. That said, there is NO official confirmation from Fox themselves (but I understand that members of the media know it for sure) so maybe we’ll be in for a surprise.

Anyways, the contest is now closed, and we’re all now just waiting for Fox to get back to us and tell us just who won. Sorry guys, I’m hoping it’s me.
