Become Iron Man at Bugis Junction

Iron Man mania has hit Singapore in a big way as the all-new Become Iron Man interactive experience from Marvel Studios lands at the heart of Bugis Junction!

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance for Iron Man fans to suit up in Tony Stark’s new Mark 42 armor before the movie starts next week. Head to Bugis Junction now and you can see yourself in Iron Man’s latest armor as well as fire off a couple rounds with the repulsors.

So what you do at the booth is stand on his famous suit-up gantry and follow the instructions given by Stark’s computerized personal assistant J.A.R.V.I.S. Using ground-breaking motion-sensor technology, it allows you to assemble or wear the new Mark 42 armor as well as take it on a test run! You see yourself flying in Stark’s armory like in the first movie and firing at targets. It’s all pretty cool as it also works on kids too although there is a height requirement. Each session lasts about 4 minutes and at the end of it, you’ll get a special code to log in online to retrieve a photo souvenir.

Now looking at this neat imaging technology got me thinking. You know that since Marvel, Disney and the Star Wars franchise are all under one roof, we could do this interactive thing with other characters too. Starting with who else but Darth Vader! How about that scene where Anakin has lost almost all his limbs and about to be re-assembled into Darth Vader, we could now have fans become the Sith Lord himself! You strap yourself in and see your cyborg arms and legs coming together. Then you get to force choke people around you!

Alright back to Marvel reality, there’s also an exhibition of Iron Man Super Alloy Collectable Figures and Disney XD’s video showcase of the Marvel Universe. What’s more, on 24 April there’ll be an unveiling of a new Iron Man Super Alloy Collectable Figure. There’s never been a better time to be an Iron Man fan!
