CdKeyPlus.Com now offering Chinese New Year discounts

CdKeyPlus.Com is getting into the festive mood: The Singapore-based game supplier is slashing prices for a ton of games, from recent releases – going up to around 70 per cent off – to even pre-orders – about 30 to 45 per cent off.
For example, these hot upcoming games are up for pre-order at pretty good prices*:
Name Of Game | Festive price | Original price | Discount |
Battleborn | S$56.77 | S$84.90 | 33% |
Dark Souls 3 | S$46.82 | S$85 | 45% |
Far Cry Primal | S$49.00 | S$74.90 | 35% |
Tom Clancy’s The Division | S$48.00 | S$74.90 | 36% |
Recently released games also go for quite a deal, for example, a silly little game like XCOM 2 is currently S$56.77 (if you haven’t got it yet, why not?!). Others also go for for a wide range of discounts, especially Batman Arkham Knight.
Name Of Game | Festive price | Original price | Discount |
XCOM 2 | S$56.77 | S$85.91 | 34% |
Batman Arkham Knight Premium Edition | S$27.44 | S$85 | 68% |
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege | S$40 | S$74.90 | 47% |
Pro-evolution Soccer 2016 | S$41 | S$75 | 45% |
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt | S$43 | S$74.90 | 43% |
Fallout 4 | S$49.90 | S$79 | 37% |
While shopping for a CD key might seem a little weird, there’s nothing to worry about: When you make a purchase, CdKeyPlus.Com will email you a CD key soon after that works with Steam or other gaming services. The company hopes to make more top titles accessible to gamers by easing the costs of rising game prices.
In a press release, Mr Andrew Li, chief marketing officer of Digital Plus, said: “Many hot titles came out during the last holiday season, but they were expensive, so we want to have a CNY promotion to make them, and even upcoming blockbusters, more affordable to gamers.”
Do note that Steam is having their own Lunar New Year sale right now, so do compare prices. A quick check of the games above showed that Steam had no pre-order discounts and all, and in general lost out in terms of discounts. EXCEPT The Witcher 3, which goes for S$33.97 on Steam.
Nonetheless, discounts during the Chinese New Year period can only be a good thing – those receiving red packets can stretch their dollar, while those doling out the dough (like me) can still afford something nice for themselves at the end of it all. And even if you don’t celebrate it, well, all the more reason to get a new game on the cheap to play over the holidays.
CdKeyPlus.Com’s sale ends right on Valentine’s Day, just in time for some of you to gift a game to your significant other!
