S$20,000 Counter-Strike: GO tournament in Singapore announced
We stop all that talk about miniatures (hope I’m not chasing anybody away) just for a bit – because this time we’re moving from analogue to digital gaming. Gaming accessory company Armaggeddon will be running their inaugural Counter-Strike: Global Offensive tournament on Aug 18, 19, 25 and 26 – that’s right, the next 2 weekends! If you can form a team of five, you can take part in the round robin tournament which will consist of 32 teams. The winners will go on to represent Singapore in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive South East Asian finals at COMEX 2012 on Sept 1-2.
Best part is there will be a pool of S$20,000 worth of prizes, and registration is free, so you don’t really have anything to lose do you?
For more details about the tournament, check out the pic below, or click on this link.
And if you think about it – Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will only be out on Aug 22 so maybe the other teams will be as noob as me! (Or they’re all in the beta, and people like me will get slaughtered – but good news is that you can pre-order the game now and start practising in the beta.) Also, there’s a zombie mod, maybe they’ll let me play that instead?
